you can sign up with any name you want, but once you decide on your characters name, please change your display name. sure, this can realistically wait until you are approved or post your profile, but if you plan on filling out the app before posting it, then please change your name accordingly and make sure that your display name is all lowercase letters, and first and last names are requires, middle is optional, and please do not put punctuation in your display name. as for how many characters you can have, you can have as many as you'd like, but we ask they aren't all female. if you don't post at least once every two weeks with all of your characters, the inactive ones will be deleted. if too many female characters are created, i'll have to put a ban on females, and i don't want to do that.

on the note of applying, please post your application within 5 days of registering. please fill out the application carefully and do not change the code. we'd also like for people to use people as play bys, and not drawn characters, since this is a real life RP and we'd like real people. do not try to pass of a 30 year old character as a 22 year old, unless the admins give it the go ahead, please. if you are having trouble finding a play by, pm a staff member for some help.

so far, we still have tons of canons available; 33 to be exact. we're pretty whatever with the canons meaning that you are free to decide their riding experience and discipline, along with their likes, dislikes, etc, and adding on to their personality. you may not change the personality they came with (only add on to it), their play by, their name, and their age.
``GRAPHICS,[/color]
we would love everyone on this site everyone to have a 100x100 avatar and a signature of their choice, as long as it does not exceed a width of 450 pixels. if you can't make graphics, go to a site such as CAUTION. you have to join, but it's worth it.
``ACTIVITY,[/color]
we will not be posting activity checks but we would like for people to at least log on once a week unless they post an absence. people who do not log in for two weeks will most likely be deleted, along with their character(s). you may have as many characters as you can handle, but if you choose to make more than one, please make sure they are all active.
``ROLE PLAYING,[/color]
we know everyone has a bad day every now and then, but on how we do, we have a posting minimum of 100 words a post. the staff will be paying attention to those who consistently do not make the word minimum, and if we catch this, we will talk to you. 100 words is not a lot, so try to keep on par with the minimum.
``SHOWING,[/color]
we will try to run a show at least once a week, but please do not hold us to this. staff members have lives outside of wcph! there must be at least 3 people entered in the show for it to run. if there aren't enough people, the show will be postponed or just not run at all, depending on what we feel like doing. showing will be judged on a member's post (for now). each member entered in a competition will be required to have one post describing what they did to ready their character and their horse, ex: grooming, braiding, bathing, etc. after every member has posted, we'll move on to the actual competition part. showing rules are still iffy and may be changed, so if you have any suggestions, please pm a staff member.
``RANKING/POINTS SYSTEM,[/color]
for now, we will use a point system for competitions. awards will go like this: 1st place will receive 100 points, 2nd place will receive 50 points, 3rd place will receive 25 points, and anything lower than 3rd place will receive no points. there will be a top rider and a top horse for both academies. usually the top rider will own the top horse, but this won't always be the case. again, just like with the showing rules, the point system may change at any time if we find that it isn't effective or fair.
